The branding for Body & Spirit: The Human Body in Thought & Practice studies what the visual representation of the notion of “body” and “spirit” could be and brings them to life in the form of ever-shifting gradients, inspired by aura imaging. Similarly, the space of the exhibition brings together familiar and esoteric forms in the use of arches and lighting, which reference to the various religions of the displayed pieces.

Ethereal, mysterious and contemplative, Body & Spirit invites visitors to reflect on the many ways in which religions in Asia understand the body through rituals, healing practices, pilgrimage, and divine images.

Buddha Relics and Mindfulness Lab

Extending beyond the special exhibition space, Buddha Relics showcases precious gems and other offerings alongside bone relics of the Buddha found in the Piprahwa Stupid in India in 1898. Swathes of crimson and sky blue gradients interplay with treasured gem graphics and reflective surfaces, presenting an immersive space for introspection and wonder.

As an accompaniment to the exhibition, programme spaces like the Mindfulness Lab brings Asian wellness traditions and immersive meditative experiences catered for Gallery visitors to unwind, recenter themselves and contemplate the exhibition.
