When the pandemic first hit, I developed little routines to bring some sort of a structure to my day, as well as to offer me a sense of comfort in small activities in a time where everything seemed to have spun out of control.
With repetition, days bleed into one another and go by without a thought and over time, these mundane routines have brought both delight as well as ennui. Days centers on finding solace and frustration in routine, with motifs and vignettes of a day that never seem to end.
Days was exhibited in Food For Thought (in support of The Food Bank) at Grids & Circles Cafe, Singapore in 2022 and sold at the event.

Belonging is inspired by anxiety and the feeling of inadequacy of existing or moving between different spaces. One may feel like an outsider at times, on the outside looking in; observing but never partaking in the activities of their surroundings for fear of judgement or ridicule.
In this series, I attempt to visualise the hopes and fears of navigating such spaces, with the longing for portals both physical and metaphorical to be open and welcoming to all.
Belonging II was exhibited in The Uncanned Project at Grids & Circles Cafe, Singapore in 2019
